For great music reviews and features – visit www.musicmedication.com ** UPDATE ** http Fellow youtube member proves how easily this can be done (even with the camera shake!) The following video explains how Derren Brown achieves his lottery trick / scam. He does not predict the numbers before the draw. The balls he displays initially… The video is split into 2 shortly after the initial sequence… Derren mis directs you to the right side of the screen, where the lotto draw is happening and …

There is no difference and I think that people are trying to find loopholes because they don’t understand how he did it.

Apparently it doesn’t work when you are distracted by the thought of profit. When he said this everyone should have realised that it was fake.

You lot made me laugh. The point dErren brown is making, if you listened.
Is how easy it would be to influence staff at the lottery to help you cheat. Hence the perfectly made lotto balls and the pics etc.
Obviously impossible himself the predict the lottery. He wanted to show how it could be done, without actually telling us the main reason behind it.
Its all balls yes.
For other comments. Deals with camolot he cannot show the balls before.
Get a grip

reminds me of the video trickery used to fool the whole world on that shameful day, 9/11

i think most people figured it out when he put the balls in the tube without saying what the numbers were. a prediction means telling people what you think will happen before it happens.
you couldn’t even argue that it was done for drama, as showing the numbers and seeing them come up one by one as the draw unfolded would’ve been far more dramatic.
i like derren brown and enjoyed the show, but i wonder if the camera trickery will do harm as people may now question the genuine things.

the real point is ,,how many other times has he used camera trickery ,he has gone down a point in my book lets hope he dont end up like blaine or angel (wankers),,,

Next time, let him reveal his prediction before the balls have fallen out of the lottery machine. No trickery can help him then …

I saw when he “revealed” the trick. And he said there was only 3 ways that this was possible, either he predicted them, the machine was rigged or some third. But thats a part of the manipulation, cause its not true, theres a lot of theoretical possibilities of doing it. Thats just to screw even more with the naive minds of the believers

What makes this all the more worse is the mathematically impossible psudo-scientific bullshit he tried to fob people off with. Derren Brown is a massive liar, and I will catch him in a net one day and teach him not to lie by shoving a red hot poker up his jakes.

Split screen delayed camera, watch the bit when he walks from the tv with the board he written the numbers on, a slight pause,,,,,,, you wont get me mr Brown…..

Another piece of evidence that confirms this explanation is the unnecessary darkness of the studio. That was done to conceal the split in the screen.

My view is simple:
Show the numbers before the lotto balls drop = Genius
Show them after = Scam Artist

I saw this when i kept rewinding on v+ . It definately rises as the still screen is morphed back into the live screen after the rack had been changed and some tool made the rack slightly too small so the last ball couldn’t fit in nice n snug. haha, jackass
