I think people see what they see due to their expectations of the situation. People can easily overlook winnings. In a 13 month period between Jul. 00 – Aug. 01.. the Texas lottery found $29 Million in unclaimed prize money from scratch-offs and other lotto games.
Your mind can easily overlook these details or fool you by perceiving the wrong information. I can only imagine that the unclaimed prize amount is over $200 Million by this time.

its probably cause if she told u she won 10,000 dollars then you would want some of the money since she beleived it was a real ticket.

i get it now she wasn’t thinking hard enough to think she was going to win anything the girl really didn’t want to win anything but she actually did and she wasn’t anxious enough to want to win and she just threw out the ticket with a 10,000 dollar winner HE MEANS ANYONE CAN MESS UP ON THEIR LOTTERIES!

thats a good lesson and a good point of view on your part. that’s what we call thinking outside of the box…instead of you just calling her an idiot for not paying attention, you really analyzed the situation and came to a genuinely thoughtful explanation as to why she hadn’t noticed she won.

I’m a big practical joker,especially in my younger years.I have made numerous pranks of this type.
You got me to thinking though.You could really make someone unhappy.
If your life really sucks as alot of peoples.You can’t afford health care,living month to month etc.”wow now I can pay off my debts,& pay off my husbands back surgery!”…what it is fake,ohhhhhh!.

Intriguing… perhaps she may have read the disclaimer on the back of the ticket. Afterwards, she may have found little humor in it because she was having a bad day OR be UNHAPPY with her life. Who knows? Thanks for sharing this interesting incident.
